We are happy to invite all NORMA Cyber members to our first User Council on 8th and 9th of June 2021 (09:00 - 11:00 CET both days). We aim to arrange the User Council twic a year and this time it will be held as a virtual meeting.

The purpose of the User Council is to:

  1. Provide input to NORMA Cyber on how we should develop our services and other initiatives

  2. Be an arena where members can share cyber security related experience and best practice among each other

The topics which will be discussed this time are:

  • Update from NORMA Cyber on how we have developed our services since we started operations on 1 January.

  • Election of Leader of the User Council who also will be represented in the board of directors for NORMA Cyber.

  • Intelligence and Information sharing: How can members utilize intelligence and information sharing in their day-to-day operations and their risk management work? What information should be shared and how?

  • Security Operations Centre Service: NORMA Cyber has developed a SOC service and we have run a Proof of Concept (POC) with two members. One of the POC has also had components from maritime OT in scope. Our goal has been to develop a SOC service tailored for shipping and maritime sector at a low cost.

  • Training/Exercises and Awareness: How to run an effective cyber awareness programme for land-based and sea-based staff? How to run training and exercises effectively?
